Reciprocity in action
Ilan Style was built with a commitment to family, culture and the continuation of Torres Strait Islander language. A portion of what we earn from tea flows into the Fellowship.
We call it reciprocity in action.
“When you hold our tea in your hands, you place meaningful change in ours.”
What it supports
The Fellowship supports Torres Strait Islander people to work with language, cultural knowledge and creative practice, held within the national collections and expertise at AIATSIS.
Language lives in many forms, in records and dictionaries, in teaching, and in song, and the Fellowship helps carry it forward in all of them.
Why it matters
Language is culture in living form. Every word kept and passed on is a thread held between generations.
Supporting that work is not a marketing add-on for us. It is the reason the business exists.
How you are part of it
Every purchase, every gift and every wholesale order helps fund this work. As the Ilan Style Tea Community grows, so does our capacity to invest.
Thank you for being part of it.
Maiem.
